Altair > Site of the former Texas bar, reputed to be the favorite place of EN's, FN's, etc. Entrance doors to the former Club Altair (run by the Altair crew). Was a great place to store civies, etc.
Altair > Looking up La Ramblas from the foot of the Colon statue. Froton (Hi-Li Parlor) is still in operation.
Altair > Site of the former Pan-Am club where many Altair sailors visited on their first liberty in Barcelona. The famous Cosmos Bar & Restaurant where many SK's hung out during 1960-1962.
Altair > Side street near Cosmos. Los Alamos Bar where many BM's hung out.
Altair > Site of the Club/Restaurant Kit Kat, popular during 1962-1963. The Kit Kat is another restaurant now. Below is the world famous Los Caracoles Restaurant.
Altair > Our old friend Colon (Columbus).
Altair > Two bars/restaurants in Plaza Real and both have been in operation for more than 50 years.
Altair > Would you believe a KFC and a Big Mac on La Ramblas!
Altair > The Altair Ship's Party at the Ritz Hotel on Calle Diagonal in late 1960. Billie and Elena Cabbage are directly across from the vacant chair (Billie is in the dark suit).
